Dakar, 11 d\u00e9c (APS) \u2013 L\u2019attaquant nig\u00e9rian Victor Osimhen de SSC Naples (Italie) a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9sign\u00e9 meilleur joueur africain de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2023, lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie des CAF Awards organis\u00e9e par la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration africaine de football (CAF), lundi \u00e0 Marrakech au Maroc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le favori du troph\u00e9e du Ballon d\u2019or africain, Oshimen succ\u00e8de au S\u00e9n\u00e9galais Sadio Man\u00e9, double tenant du titre (2019-2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Il a devanc\u00e9 l\u2019attaquant \u00e9gyptien de Liverpool, Mohamed Salah vainqueur \u00e0 deux reprises du troph\u00e9e (2017-2018) et le d\u00e9fenseur marocain du Paris Saint-Germain Achraf Hakimi, demi-finaliste de la Coupe du monde 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N\u00e9 le 29 d\u00e9cembre 1998 \u00e0 Lagos, au Nigeria Victor commence sa carri\u00e8re de footballeur \u00e0 l\u2019Ultimate Strikers Academy, un club bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Lagos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Osimhen a \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019un des artisans du troisi\u00e8me sacre en championnat de Naples en 2023, le premier depuis 1990. Il d\u00e9croche son premier titre majeur avec une \u00e9quipe professionnelle ainsi que le titre du meilleur buteur avec 26 r\u00e9alisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Porte-flambeau du football africain en Europe, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomin\u00e9 pour le prix The Best \u2013 Joueur de la FIFA 2023. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 le joueur africain le mieux class\u00e9 dans le vote du ballon d\u2019or 2023, en terminant huiti\u00e8me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
L\u2019attaquant de 24 ans remporte le ballon d\u2019or africain. Il succ\u00e9dera \u00e0 son compatriote Nwankwo Kanu qui l\u2019avait gagn\u00e9 en 1999, devenant, depuis 1992, le sixi\u00e8me nig\u00e9rian \u00e0 \u00eatre sacr\u00e9 joueur africain de l\u2019ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
S\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 en \u00e9quipe nationale des moins de 17 ans, il se fera remarquer gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses performances \u00e0 la Coupe du monde de la cat\u00e9gorie, en 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En janvier 2016, il s\u2019engage avec le VfL Wolfsburg puis en 2018. Il est ensuite pr\u00eat\u00e9 pour une saison avec option d\u2019achat au Sporting de Charleroi (Belgique). En 2019, il rejoint LOSC Lille o\u00f9 il terme la saison avec le titre de meilleur joueur africain de la Ligue 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En 2020, Victor Oshimen signe un contrat record avec Naples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
