Et m\u00eame si ces derniers ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 prouv\u00e9 leur utilit\u00e9, les scientifiques de l\u2019ETH Zurich (une \u00e9cole polytechnique f\u00e9d\u00e9rale) pensent qu\u2019il serait bien plus judicieux d\u2019envoyer une meute de chiens robots. Une m\u00e9thode qu\u2019ils sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 en train d\u2019exp\u00e9rimenter sur Terre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9quipe suisse dispose actuellement de trois robots ANYmal qui travaillent sur un morceau de \u201cplan\u00e8te\u201d extraterrestre simul\u00e9e. Alors que les rovers se bloquent parfois avec leurs roues ou ne parviennent pas \u00e0 franchir un obstacle, les chiens robots, eux, se d\u00e9marquent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour cette raison, les scientifiques veulent envoyer ses trois sp\u00e9cimens sur Mars. Ils transporteront chacun un lidar &#8211; un faisceau laser qui cartographie l\u2019environnement en 3D &#8211; ainsi qu&rsquo;un ensemble d\u2019instruments, diff\u00e9rents les uns des autres. L\u2019\u00e9quipe&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.science.org\/doi\/10.1126\/scirobotics.ade9548\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">parle d\u2019un \u201cexplorateur, hybride et scientifique\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les robots cartographient leur environnement et peuvent explorer des terrains inconnus jusqu\u2019alors, ce qui est un grand avantage.
