Nous, ing\u00e9nieurs, pilotes, contr\u00f4leurs a\u00e9riens, membres de l\u2019association A\u00e9ro D\u00e9carbo, travaillons sur cette question depuis quelques ann\u00e9es. Anim\u00e9s de l\u2019esprit des pionniers, h\u00e9ros de l\u2019air et grands humanistes, nous savons que les \u00e9quations de la m\u00e9canique des fluides permettent aussi bien de faire voler des machines que de mod\u00e9liser les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes climatiques. Aussi souhaitons-nous aborder la question de la d\u00e9carbonation du transport a\u00e9rien avec la rigueur scientifique qu\u2019elle m\u00e9rite, sans sacrifier \u00e0 notre attachement profond \u00e0 l\u2019aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le secteur a\u00e9rien s\u2019est engag\u00e9 sur un objectif de z\u00e9ro \u00e9mission nette de CO<sub>2<\/sub> en&nbsp;2050. Si nous saluons cet engagement historique, nous rappelons qu\u2019il n\u2019est pas consistant avec la physique du climat. Notre futur climatique en&nbsp;2050 ne d\u00e9pend en effet pas de la quantit\u00e9 de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre que nous \u00e9mettrons alors, mais de la somme desdites \u00e9missions entre aujourd\u2019hui et 2050&nbsp;: c\u2019est le fameux \u00ab&nbsp;budget carbone&nbsp;\u00bb calcul\u00e9 par le Groupe d\u2019experts intergouvernemental sur l\u2019\u00e9volution du climat. Le probl\u00e8me est donc selon nous mal pos\u00e9&nbsp;: miser sur l\u2019atteinte d\u2019une cible en&nbsp;2050, c\u2019est oublier que nous devons d\u00e8s aujourd\u2019hui r\u00e9duire nos \u00e9missions de 5&nbsp;% par an pour respecter l\u2019accord de Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La d\u00e9carbonation de l\u2019\u00e9nergie est le principal levier de r\u00e9duction des \u00e9missions du secteur. Elle couvre aussi bien les carburants d\u2019aviation durables (<em>sustainable aviation fuels<\/em>, SAF) que l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne. Si ces pistes sont cr\u00e9dibles quant \u00e0 leur faisabilit\u00e9 technologique, la question de fond demeure celle des quantit\u00e9s disponibles de carburant bas carbone et des choix d\u2019allocations intersectorielles en cas de production trop faible. Emmanuel Macron a fix\u00e9 l\u2019objectif de fournir 75&nbsp;000 tonnes de k\u00e9ros\u00e8ne durable aux compagnies \u00e0 l\u2019horizon 2030. A l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale, l\u2019Association du transport a\u00e9rien international table sur 24&nbsp;millions de tonnes de SAF en&nbsp;2030.
